Not impressed.

Demi Lovato is super vocal about embracing the body you've got, and that's why she didn't take kindly to a piece of fan art she saw on Instagram over the weekend.

The fan art, drawn by Romanian artist Vladimir Serbanescu, depicts Lovato from her single "Body Say," but as a mermaid — and while the original image conceals her breasts face-down on a bed, the fan art takes some... liberties in that area.

And Lovato was not happy, and let the world know by publicly commenting on the fan's piece:

It's not just her bewbz that are different from the real thing, either; her ribs are more pronounced in the drawing than in the photo, and Serbanescu "gifted" Mermaid Demi with an impossibly tiny waist.

But the artist stands by his work:

"If I make your waist slimmer and your boobs bigger to accentuate the fact that I drew you as a mermaid, a mythological creature, doesn't mean I say that you should look like that or all girls should look like that," he wrote on Instagram. "That's how I imagine mermaids. I worked a lot on that drawing and I was proud of it, but not anymore."

Of course, artists are allowed to portray whoever or whatever they want basically however they want, but if you put a famous person's face on it and they find it in poor taste, they're allowed to say so, too.

Sorry she didn't like your art, Vlad. But she's not the only one who knows that even mermaids have curves.
