“Take care of your inner beauty, your spiritual beauty, and that will reflect in your face. We have the face we created over the years. Every bad deed, every bad fault will show on your face. God can give us beauty and genes can give us our features, but whether that beauty remains or changes is determined by our thoughts and deeds.”

Del Rio ruled the silver screen throughout the '20s and '30s and was considered the ultimate beauty icon, not only for her striking features, but also for her enviable body. Slender but strong, she had a look that defined the Art Deco era. Rumor even has it that she was the first woman to wear a two-piece swimsuit on film in 1933’s Flying Down to Rio.
