Today is the day. The Amber Rose SlutWalk is happening in downtown Los Angeles where women will be marching the streets aiming to take a stand for women’s equality issues. The model and self-proclaimed feminist will be inaugurating the walk, encouraging women to “Wear what the F you want” and partake in the all-day event that includes a fashion and comedy show, poetry slam, and special performance by Frenchie Davis.

The first-ever Slut Walk occurred in Toronto in 2011 after a police officer said women should “avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized.” Rose organized this social movement to continue to break down gender stereotypes and double standards. She also wants to educate and fight against the notion that the way a woman dresses or shows off their body is a valid reason for violence or slut-shaming.

To promote the "Slutwalk" Rose starred in this hilarious Funny or Die video about the notorious "Walk of Shame" ladies endure after a fun night.

Rose, who’s widely known for her voluptuous curves and sexy image, recently told MTV in a press conference, “I deal with a lot of equality issues in my own life, and I wanted to make a difference any way I can.” She then continued, “So basically me and my team put our blood, sweat and tears into developing our own SlutWalk to bring awareness to what’s going on.”

Today marks only the beginning of her strive to making a difference for women. To join in the movement, head over to Pershing Square!
