It's officially time to freak out. Chris Perez's book "To Selena, with Love" is going to be adapted for TV.

Like the book, the television series will detail Perez's relationship with the late Queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla, as told from Perez's perspective.

According to a press release "details, stories, perspectives, and insights" which were not originally included in the book, will also be added to the show.

Considering Perez's 2012 book gave us all an inside look into the passionate, brief relationship the lovers shared, we can't help but be excited for what the television series will have in store.

“I spent several years keeping the memories of my late wife bottled up inside," Perez said in a statement.

"I am now ready to take the important step of being fully transparent and bringing my everlasting relationship to life on the screen.”

And like Perez's book, there will be two versions for both English and Spanish audiences.

Fans have already started flocking to Chris Perez's Facebook to share their excitement over the news.

There are already requests being thrown out when it comes to casting.

Casting Selena will be no easy task.

And while there is no word yet on when the series will be released, we do know it definitely can't come soon enough.
