Naya Rivera is happily married and has a beautiful baby boy, making her ex Big Sean a thing of the past. But that doesn't mean she can't share details from their rocky relationship in her new memoir "Sorry Not Sorry" — including the tumultuous way their engagement ended.
The pair started dating in 2013 after connecting on Twitter, and were engaged six months after going public with their relationship.
In the book, Rivera reveals their engagement period was less than ideal, recalling a time when they fought for five days nonstop, while Sean was out of town. When Sean didn't want to see her after he returned, she stopped at his home only to find Ariana Grande (his next girlfriend, and eventual ex) at his house listening to music.
The real demise of their relationship came after Rivera accused her then-fiancé of stealing a Rolex.
Early in their relationship, Sean gave her his Rolex to wear, but one day he took it back without explanation, prompting the former "Glee" star to write on Twitter, “@bigsean stealing rolexes from a lady’s house now. Maybe cuz I’m on Glee and making more money or something. #triflin.” (She's since deleted the tweet.)
She now regrets posting that tweet, writing in her book, "In my weakest moments OF ALL TIME, I tweeted about it. And, alas, between our millions of combined followers, such a tweet did not go unnoticed — even when I realized what I had done and deleted it as fast as I could. That tweet shall henceforth be known as ‘The One Time I Showed My Ass on Twitter.’”
And after she "showed [her] ass" Rivera probably wasn't expecting Sean's response to be so swift and cutthroat.
Following the implication that Sean stole from her, his publicist released a statement that the two were no longer getting married, a subject he and Rivera had yet to address.
“So I learned that I was no longer getting married from THE INTERNET, and at the same time as the rest of the world. Not only were we no longer getting married, but apparently we weren’t even together anymore,” she wrote.
