The Internet can be a cruel place, especially for celebrities. From body shaming to plain old negativity, cyber bullies seem to be lurking around every corner of social media, just waiting to take another sip of that haterade.

“This is f- -king ridiculous,” the 17-year-old commented on her Instagram page. “ I have AA meetings to go to. Family obligations. PERSONAL obligations." She continued by sounding off about the immense pressures she’s faced, and how her famous father also had to cope with tough expectations. “He didn't owe you anything, yet he was ripped to shreds DAILY,” she said about her dad. “I will not let that happen to me."

We must say that we totally feel for Paris. In many ways, she’s saying what we’re all thinking. While social media does help us connect with each other, it also has a way of bringing out the negativity in people. It’s also important to remember that, like Paris, we all have our struggles (that we don’t always showcase on social media). You never really know what someone is going through, which is even more of a reason to spread positivity instead. Someone could really need it.

Kudos to Paris’s social media supporters, who shared these positive words with the star.
