Diesel, who got emotional during his acceptance speech, said to himself that he wouldn't cry, but "then I start to think of Paul," he added, referring to his late costar Paul Walker. “My only message to you is: You’d be amazed what you can do with love. You’d be amazed how powerful of a force that is." He finished his speech by singing a verse from “See You Again,” by Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa, a song featured as an anthem for Walker’s character in Furious 7, and then was cut off by the stage music.
One of the biggest moments of the evening came when Melissa McCarthy (who also won Favorite Comedic Movie Actress) presented Ellen DeGeneres with the Favorite Humanitarian Award and Favorite Daytime TV Host. DeGeneres was praised for the millions of dollars she has raised for charity throughout the years and for bringing happiness to fans in need. The comedian said the most important thing we can contribute is kindness.

"That's the point of being human," DeGeneres said. "I don't think you need to have a talk show to be kind to people. I want everyone to know, we all really, really need to love one another. We need that in the world right now."
Other heartfelt speeches included winner actor Taylor Kinney of Chicago Fire. “My fiancée couldn’t be here tonight, but she says hello,” Kinney said. His fiancée is Lady Gaga, by the way. "I love you, baby. You inspire me every day.”
Sandra Bullock, who won Favorite Movie Actress, gave a speech that included an anecdote about her son, and thanked the world and the planet on his behalf.
There was one weird moment while the women of The Talk accepted their award for Favorite Hosting Team. Some random dude tried to promote something, but quickly got (literally) kicked off stage by the ladies.
Also, while Dakota Johnson made her way on stage to accept her award for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress, her dress got caught on presenter Leslie Mann and almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction. She charmingly laughed off the incident by saying, "Well, it’s not like nobody here hasn’t already seen my boobs."
Johnny Depp was also, surprisingly, on hand to accept his award for Favorite Movie Actor. But that's the beauty of this award show, the actors can't be elsewhere if they win. What kind of message would that send to the fans? Depp said it perfectly during his speech: “I’m considerably blown away by this because it comes from the people, once again, the people who gives us the jobs, who keep us employed and I’m, well, I’m happy to be employed.”
