Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez

If real recognize real, then baddest can recognize the baddest. That was clearly the case when Rihanna gifted Jennifer Lopez (her former co-star in the animated movie Home) a pair of sick thigh-high boots from her upcoming "Denim Desserts" spring collaboration with Manolo Blahnik:

Lopez shared the photo of the luxe gift along with the note from Rihanna, that read "To: The Baddest, Because I know you’re gonna wear them better than me!!!" Can you imagine receiving something like this?! The cute moment totally gave us #friendshipgoals. Sending your friend a gift because you know she will slay it better than you totally breaks catty and competitive stereotypes about women, which are especially prevalent in Hollywood.

This isn't the first time that Rihanna has gushed about Lopez. According to E!, at the premiere of Home, Rihanna commented on whether she felt weird about playing Lopez's daughter in the film. Of course she didn't, and said that "JLo is like the hottest mom. She's a MILF!"

If our hunch is right, the shoes in J. Lo's Instagram photo appear to be "The 9 to 5" chaps-style boot with crystal embellishments that Rihanna wore in her British Vogue spread. They are total MILF material:

I think that we can all agree that Lopez will work these boots just as well. Age ain't nothing but a number for the 46-year-old, who absolutely kills it in the fashion department every time. It's no wonder that a style icon like Rihanna has admiration for Lopez. After all, Lopez has helped pave the way for taking fashion risks. The skin-baring Versace green dress she wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards birthed Google Images! Paying tribute with these boots was absolutely necessary.

The love between the two definitely goes both ways. Besides captioning the Instagram photo of the boots with hashtags that said "#loverher" and "#thebaddest," Lopez has paid homage to Rihanna herself on American Idol in 2015, when she covered Rihanna's "Diamonds" with fellow judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr.:

We need all of our divas with sprawling empires to support each other like this. Now we just need RiRi and J. Lo to collaborate on a fashion project together so that we can all collectively lose our minds while emptying our bank accounts in the process. It's the only natural response.
