In the latest installment of "who asked you?" news, Ariana Grande's ex Jai Brooks popped up out of nowhere to drag Selena Gomez's Instagram post — the one in support of DREAMers affected by the White House's decision to rescind former president Barack Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program last week.

Gomez took to Instagram to urge her 126 million followers to take action in support of DREAMers whose futures are currently in the hands of Congress.

"My definition of dreamer is someone that thinks big and believes anything is possible," she wrote. "The wonderful people being threatened by the unfortunate reversal of DACA are exactly that. Please call The White House, your local members of Congress and state Senators to let your voice be heard to defend DACA! You can find out how to reach out to your representatives here: https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials (link in bio)."

It was a powerful way to bring more awareness to an issue that affects approximately 800,000 people in the US. Yet for some reason, Brooks decided to leave a condescending comment accusing her of being fake under her post.

"You honestly don't give a shit about the people related to DACA you're just a Hollywood pretending to give a shit because it seems right ???? go home princess," he wrote.

Gomez's fans wasted no time defending their fave and dragging the Australian-Italian singer for filth over his statement.

SAVAGE!

Brooks was seemingly unbothered by the backlash and stoked the flames of the negative attention with a series of posts that taunted Gomez's followers.

"Hahahahahaha there's honestly nothing more I could love than when I speak the truth and people argue against it because they have no facts and/or are honestly too stupid to know what goes on in their world," he wrote. "I read their dumb comment and laugh honestly if you comment I'm just laughing so I appreciate the good time ???????????????? you guys honestly made my day I havnt smiled like this in a while ????????????"

"Recent photoshoot ;) best I've looked ????????" he wrote about this image of him Photoshopped onto a snake.

He continued to discredit the star's DACA post on his Instagram Stories, and his response to an angry viewer accusing him of being racist further proved his ignorance.

"Grew up with a hard working single mother who raised a family of 3, I stand for hard work just like my Mum ;)," he wrote. Is he trying to say DREAMers aren't working hard? He clearly knows nothing about the group.

Brooks' actions only made him look bad and ultimately brought even more awareness to concerns about the future of DACA.

You can't win when you play dirty.
