Cardi B felt the wrath of Selena Quintanilla fans when she called herself the "trap Selena" on her verse in Migos' "Motor Sport."

"Let me wrap my weave up/ I'm the trap Selena," Cardi rapped.

While some fans were ok with the reference and even agreed with the label, many Queen of Tejano supporters saw RED when they heard the line.

Anyone comparing themselves to Quintanilla is a huge no-no in her fandom, but it's especially frowned upon coming from the mouth of someone who isn't conservative. And if you know ANYTHING about Cardi B, you know she's the complete opposite of that. It's a trait that has won her millions of fans, but that doesn't exempt her from being dragged by offended Quintanilla lovers who will never put them in the same league.

But if you were expecting an equally radical reaction from Selena's family members, you're in for a surprise. Her sister, Suzette Quintanilla, seemed like she was every bit a fan in an interview with radio station Power 106 Los Angeles.

Discussing how hip-hop has embraced Selena, the crew from “The Cruz Show” pointed out that Drake wore a Selena T-shirt recently — and Suzette herself brought up Cardi’s “trap Selena” line with obvious joy in her voice.

"You guys don’t see that or view that as disrespect, that’s an honor, correct?" they asked Suzette.

"I think it’s an honor because it just shows that Selena is a legend and she’s being recognized — not just in the Latino community or in Latin music, she’s worldwide," she responded.

"Trap Selena" is Suzette-approved, showing there's no reason to get all riled up.

There will only be one Selena, and we'd bet top dollar Cardi knows that. It's just hip-hop.
