Talk about a Motivational Monday. This morning model of-the-moment Gigi Hadid took a stand against social media trolls with a classy and inspirational message to her fat-shamers. Yup, even a super-fit supermodel isn't spared haters and Internet trolls. Hadid shared an articulate response via Instagram about body acceptance and how the fashion industry is changing. “I represent a body image that wasn’t accepted in high-fashion before, and I’m very lucky to be supported by the designers, stylists, and editors that I am: one’s that know this is fashion, it’s art; it can never stay the same. It’s 2015.”

She’s right. It is 2015 and models like Ashley Graham who recently modeled her own lingerie line at NYFW and Georgia Pratt are living proofs of how fashion is taking on a different direction. Their appearance on Lane Bryant’s #PlusIsEqual campaign to promote positive body image and beauty equality is only a small but powerful step towards change. Just last month extraordinary beauty, Jillian Mercado who’s spastic muscular dystrophy left her in a wheelchair was signed to IMG Models, and Australian model with Down Syndrome, Madeline Stuart, made her debut during the FTL Moda presentation at NYFW.

While these are only a few of the beauties that are making a difference as the fashion world evolves, we’re only hoping to reach a point in which there’s more love and less hate.
