We had a Peruvian, an Ecuadorean, and a neutral taster come take a mouthful of a Latin American classic: Ceviche. Fish marinated in lemon or lime juice and garnished with onions, cilantro, or corn is a staple in several coastal countries across the region. But the battle of its birthplace is more intense between Peruvians and Ecuadoreans. We challenged our tasters to make a blind call and taste ceviche from Yelp’s top rated Peruvian restaurant Panca and Ecuadorean spot Ñaño Ecuadorean Kitchen in New York City.
