Caracas Arepa Bar in New York City is the brainchild of Maribel Araujo, a Venezuelan producer turned entrepreneur. After opening her first arepa outpost in a tiny corner of Manhattan’s East Village in 2003, she branched out to Williamsburg and established a similar spot, but centered on rum.
