A cleansing tea

Staying healthy and enjoying a holiday feast is possible! I promise. You don’t have to starve yourself, or say no to the delicious pumpkin pie . . . it simply is a matter of devotion to exercise, proportions, and cleansing herbs. That's it.

You can definitely kick off the dreaded holiday bulge, on average about 1 Ib, and here's how you do it. First, it's important that you stay positive — truly enjoy the time with your loved ones and smile. Next add short bursts of exercise to speed up your metabolism. Many studies have proved that high-intensity interval training three days a week for 20 minutes sheds more fat than 40 minutes of lower intensity training over the same time period.

I'm a huge yoga fan, and have been practicing it for quite some time, yet I do enjoy these high-intensity quickies throughout the week. They boost your cardiovascular system, make you sweat like there is no tomorrow and help you carve out an awesome body. On top of that, if you pair intense exercise and yoga, you increase your feel-good hormone and get your creative juices flowing.
Then we have miraculous, cleansing herbs. If you add on herbal teas throughout the day, you’ll boost your kidneys, liver, and gut. There are many teas out there that work; my favorites are: dandelion root, mangosteen peel, chanca piedra, turmeric, lemon, and ginger. Make it a ritual to have a tea 30 minutes before or after a meal, twice a day. I guarantee that you will not only enrich your life with magical teas, but you'll also feel good inside and out.
