Afro-Colombian journalist Ilia Calderón deserves an award for her poise during her confrontation with KKK members in Yanceyville, North Carolina for Univision's "Aquí y Ahora."
In a preview from Splinter, she's seen sitting down with Imperial Wizard of the Loyal White Knights Christopher Barker and member Amanda Barker when she receives one of the most mind-boggling justifications of white supremacy we've ever heard in our lives.
After Christopher nonchalantly called Calderón a "mongrel," told her they don’t let people like her around around them, and essentially threatened her (and anyone like her) by saying they would burn her out of there when she asked if they planned on chasing her out…
... the journalist, who made sure to remind them she's both Black and an immigrant, asked if they were a hate group. The two members both said "no" with a straight face.
“We define ourselves as a Christian group,” Christopher said. Um, what?
They then both have the nerve to say, "I don't hate anyone." Did they somehow forget the thinly veiled threat Christopher made just a minute ago?
