Data from Survey Monkey Intelligence, a platform for measuring app usage and demographics, managed to find out which dating apps people use the most along with how much they engaged with these apps, and the demographics of the app users.
Tinder had the most users out of all the apps, which is not surprising considering all the relationship success stories it’s been generating lately. What once was known as the “hook up” site has recently been recognized as a place to meet a potential SO. PlentyOfFish, OkCupid, and eHarmony were next followed with apps like Match, Grindr, Zoosk, Bumble, happen, Coffee Meets Bagel, and Clover. The bottom nine apps in terms of the most users, were FirstMet, Black People Meet, Hinge, Christian Mingle, Pure, JSwipe, Lulu, Grouper, and HowAboutWe.
Tinder and Bumble ranked the highest when it came to the highest percentage of 18 to 29-year-old users. Tinder also has one of the most diverse user distribution. But you can’t actually meet someone without engagement, and happen, Lulu, and Grinder ranked the highest when it came to the most engaged users.
If you’re a woman interested in the opposite sex, then apps with lower proportions of women and higher proportions of men would be ideal, including Tinder, POF, Clover, happen, Black People Meet, Zoosk, and FirstMet.
If you haven’t had much luck with online dating and are either really confused or really overwhelmed by these findings, don’t worry. Anyone can meet someone great on dating apps. It’s really just about figuring out the one that best meets your needs and what you’re looking for.
