Beauty boys are officially taking over the world.
First, CoverGirl cast James Charles as their first ever Cover Boy, and now it's Maybelline's turn. Manny Gutierrez — the Mexican vlogger known to most as Manny MUA — stars in Maybelline's newest mascara campaign alongside fellow YouTuber superstar Shayla Mitchell.
It's the first time in Maybelline's 102-year history that a man has been the face of the brand — and we are so here for it.
Manny — who was also the first dude ever featured on Maybelline's Instagram page — has always been behind the idea that makeup is for EVERYONE.
Style has no gender, and Manny's entire career has been about dismantling the notion that makeup is "just for girls." In a statement provided by Maybelline, Gutierrez said that he is "thrilled to be able to work with a global brand like Maybelline that is recognizing male influencer talent and is willing to shine a spotlight on it."
Shayla Mitchell, also known as MakeupShayla, is a former MAC makeup artist who is all about truly inclusive, inspirational beauty.
On her awesome YouTube channel, she says she lives for "hair flips and slayage," which made her a perfect Maybelline girl. In a statement proovided by the brand, Shayla says she's "So happy to be working with Maybelline on this campaign. I have been using Big Shot mascara since the brand gave it to me, so when I found out they wanted me to be part of this campaign, I knew it would be a perfect fit!"
