"Adele does it again" is probably the most used phrase on the Internet at this point . . . but, well, she did it again.
The star released the full video of her performing her second single, "When We Were Young" at the Church on Tuesday and it's on the fast track to becoming everyone's favorite tune.
The song, which was cowritten by Tobias Jesso, Jr., has a certain nostalgia that seems too old for the singer who's in her twenties. "It was based on us being older, and being at a party at this house, and seeing everyone that you've ever fallen out with, everyone that you've ever loved, everyone that you've never loved, and stuff like that, where you can't find the time to be in each other lives," she said during an interview with Sirius XM.
The Londoner had teased the song on Monday on 60 Minutes. The full video comes the same day as she is set to perform at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, (which apparently, we didn't win tickets to).
Adele's comeback has been the talk of the town ever since the 27-year-old star revealed she would be releasing her new album, 25, on November 20. Since then, it's been a month of interviews, record-breaking singles, and hard-to-get-into concerts (tickets please, anyone!).
For those of you enjoying her concerts, have the time of your lives — the rest of us will be here re-playing "When We Were Young" until November 20.
