Casti was inspired to use critters in her nail art after one of her children found a dead butterfly.
"I’ve always been fascinated with taxidermy," Casti told Daily Mail Australia. "I find beauty in death."
This nail art is literally to die for.
She uses bugs that are "donated" or acquired through a licensed taxidermist.
The bugs are sanitized, "fossilized," and entombed beneath a coat of acrylic. Beyond bugs, Casti also works with snakes, scorpions, and even goanna, an Australian lizard.
