After waiting days to publicly comment on Puerto Rico after it was hit by Hurricane Maria, blaming the island for its problems, and attacking the mayor of San Juan on Twitter, President Donald Trump added yet another huge point to the growing list of complaints against his handling of the disaster during his long overdue visit on Tuesday.

Trump met with Puerto Rican officials on the island and launched into a Hurricane Katrina comparison so terrible, someone should have taken his mic away.

"I hate to tell you, Puerto Rico, but you’ve thrown our budget a little out of whack because we’ve spent a lot of money on Puerto Rico..." he said, almost laughing before adding, "and that’s fine, we’ve saved a lot of lives."

And if you thought that was bad, just you wait.

"Every death is a horror, but if you look at a real catastrophe like Katrina, and look at the tremendous hundreds and hundreds of people that died, and you look at what happened here with a storm that was totally overpowering, no one has ever seen anything like this," Trump added.

Yes, he said "real catastrophe." As if the devastation in Puerto Rico is not that big of a deal.

After confirming the death toll so far with Governor Ricardo Rosselló, he continued the comparison, saying, “16 people vs. in the thousands. You can be very proud of all of your people. All of our people. 16 vs. thousands of people.”

Twitter immediately ripped him a new one for the ridiculous comments.

Trump's ridiculous display was so disappointing and embarassing, he should've just stayed in DC.
