Although Mireles has gained support for the project in the past month, there are still concerns about the app. The Phoenix resident wants to make that the security of users isn’t jeopardized. A phone number would be the only information collected. 

There is also the importance of making sure information is verified before being sent out. 

According to Los Angeles Times, there have been more and more false announcements of ICE raids that have affected the lives of undocumented immigrants who are afraid to leave their homes.

Despite this, the DREAMer is optimistic about the app making a difference in the immigrant community. The app is still being developed and there is no release date yet, but it could launch in three months. Although the app is aimed towards Hispanic immigrants, Mireles hopes to make it available in other languages.
