According to NBC News, at least 14 people were killed and another 17 injured after one to three gunmen opened fire at the Inland Regional Center, a social services facility for people with developmental disabilities, in San Bernardino.

President Obama spoke out in the wake of the tragedy, reiterating his call for more gun control.

"We have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world,” he told CBS News. “There's some steps we could take, not to eliminate every one of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds that they don't happen as frequently, common-sense gun safety laws, stronger background checks."
