Cardi B may be loud and proud about her past as a stripper, but that does not give anyone the right to violate her by grabbing her butt without her permission. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to her while she was in Las Vegas for the Mayweather vs McGregor boxing match last weekend.

In a video of the aftermath of the incident, Cardi B is visibly upset and surrounded by security guards. "That n**** just grabbed my whole ass," she says.

In another clip posted by The Shade Room, Cardi asks the violator — who is offscreen — "Why would you grab my ass?"

The clips are difficult to watch, especially since so many of us have been in Cardi's shoes.

And just when you thought you couldn't be more disappointed, Twitter user @TheRealJcallies pointed out the countless comments on the post claiming that Cardi's past as a stripper essentially took away her right to complain.

"Lmaoo she used to be a stripper I thought she would be used to shit like that," was one of the disgusting reactions.

The observation spread like wildfire, highlighting the fact that the concept of consent still isn't common knowledge.

A look at the comments on The Shade Room's post confirmed that these inexcusable, rape culture-enabling comments from both men and women were flooding in.

No one's past gives another person an excuse to touch them without permission, point blank, period. Entertainers like Cardi are no exception.
