Demi Lovato has overcome substance abuse, depression, self-harm, and eating disorders — but even people in recovery still struggle sometimes.

And Lovato isn't afraid to admit that.

On Tuesday, Lovato revealed what SHE does on those days, and her advice is so on point:

"Sometimes when I'm having bad boy image issue days, I remind myself that I'd rather live in freedom from my eating disorder than worry..."

"...about what people think about my body," she tweeted.

"I am more than a number and a jean size. Fuck yeah!"

Fuck yeah, echoed her followers, who favorited each tweet nearly 50,000 times apiece.

Spoken like a true mental-health advocate!

Lovato's Twitter feed is full of pointers on how to practice self-love every day.
